Claude Serra has spent over 20 years exploring the Languedoc terroirs and Villa Serra is the culmination of his work.

Our wines are the result of a search for finesse and elegance and a desire to show the true personality of the terroir.
The wines are produced in the true Languedoc tradition of assembling different grape varieties grown in varied situations.

Situation

Located on Caunes Minervois, at the heart of the A.O.C Minervois, in the northernmost area called ARGENT DOUBLE , Villa Serra is a small family 2 hectare estate.
This "Bien de village" (meaning parcels located on different terroirs) has belonged to the same family for several generations,
each providing its own contribution.

Climate

Located at an altitude of 100m, the vineyard is exposed to the Mediterranean climate tempered by an Oceanic influences, with 700 mm of rainfall per year.
The long summers and beautiful south facing vineyards allow for a maximum of sunshine on all parcels.
The vines are slow to mature and to complete, and the Oceanic influences coupled with altitude produce remarkable freshness in the wines.
